Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 13, 2026

Overview

Brewed ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with your use of the Brewed iOS application ("App").

In short: we collect a small amount of anonymous data to understand how Brewed is used and to fix crashes. We never collect anything that identifies you, there are no accounts and no advertising.

Information We Collect

Brewed collects limited, anonymous data so we can understand how it is used and fix problems. None of it identifies you, it is not linked to your identity, and it is never sold or used for advertising.

In practice, this means:

  • We collect anonymous product analytics (which screens and brew actions you use) through PostHog
  • We collect crash and error diagnostics, including stack traces and app hangs, through Sentry
  • These services use a random per-install identifier that is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID
  • We do not collect your name, email, location, or advertising identifier (IDFA)
  • We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we never sell your data

Data Stored on Your Device

Brewed may store certain preferences (such as your selected language or dark mode setting) locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms (UserDefaults). This data:

  • Never leaves your device
  • Is not accessible to us or any third party
  • Can be deleted by uninstalling the App

Third-Party Services

Brewed uses two privacy-focused services, both hosted in the European Union, to collect the anonymous data described above:

  • PostHog (EU) for anonymous product analytics, configured so that no personal profile is created. See PostHog's privacy policy.
  • Sentry (EU) for crash and error diagnostics. See Sentry's privacy policy.
  • We use no advertising networks, no Facebook or Google tracking SDKs, and no cross-app tracking

Apple Services

As an iOS app distributed through the Apple App Store, Brewed is subject to Apple's standard platform services. Apple may collect certain aggregated, non-identifiable data as part of standard App Store operations. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not ours.

Children's Privacy

Brewed does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The anonymous analytics and diagnostics we collect cannot identify any user, including children.

Changes to This Policy

If we materially change this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
